It’s a shame you dread summer in light of simply having Vitiligo. Is it because of the skins appearance? My vitiligo has been dormant for about 8 years now and actually, since we sold our business and got rid of stress in life, the white patches have significantly repigmented all on their own. There is hope but no cure

I haven't been wearing shorts/skirts in public. While I'm thinking about changing my attitude on that (t's been about 4 years since I got vitiligo) I am considering trying some body makeup just to blend a bit. I saw an ad on QVC last night about a product called Westmore. It looked easy to apply and apparently lasts several days. That said, I really think it's best to accept it. I now live in Albuquerque NM and I find most folks here very accepting and non-judgmental. When I first got it I stopped doing anything to call attention to myself, even not wearing jewelry. I think the best thing is to love yourself no matter what. Just go into the world with a big smile. Be nice.
