I Was Told By A Health Provider To Take Vitamin D3 And Magnesium Glycinate To Slow Down The Vitiligo.
I have no insurance. And want some insite as to what I can use over the counter to fade the vitiligo spots? It's spreading everywhere faster than ever before. Is it something I am eating?
Hi Rhonda, Absolutely , Stress is one of the biggest triggers for vitiligo to spread!!! Also, google antiinflammatory diet, be gluten free, dairy free, no night shade vegetables, these will contribute to vitiligo spreading
Hi, Let me say this about the vitamin D. The picture on my profile shows you what I looked like the summer of 2022. I started a regime of vitamin d2, d3, ginko, and b6. At the time, I also refrained from eating foods that are considered inflammatory by following a diet reserved for people who have autism . I ate as little gluten as possible, stopped putting certain things on my skin, changed my detergents , soaps and stayed away from aerole sprays. Yes my color did start to come back. The problem is the color was not even some places my skin started to darken.I consulted my doctor after the fact not before starting this regimine. My doctor explained that taking vitamins require the same monitoring as any other medication. My vitamin d level was so high my doctor told me to stop immediately. The reason I am telling you this is to say, Many of the people on here have tried many things to regain their color or slow down the progression of the vitiligo. We have all had different results some better than others . I am not sure where you are in your journey but you should be very careful and mindful of whatever you try. I've had laser and light therapy and both helped but the these therapies caused vision issues. So now I am just glad I am in good health. If you decide to follow the advice of the health professional please get help from medical professionals and regular blood tests to monitor your health.
My dr had told me to take Alpha Lipoic Acid but the only thing that was very effective for me was light treatment. I know you mentioned you don’t have insurance but have you checked into trials? One I tried to get into a few years ago included light treatment. I was not accepted into the trial as I didn’t have enough on my face but see if there are any new trials near you. Also are you close to getting Medicare? I thought your age stated 64. I would start investing if Medicare will cover treatment.
Mamabear4...I appreciate your response. I am 64 and dealing with stress definitely plays a high favor in my Life right now. Trying to center my mind, body and soul is important and I need to find ways to make that happen. Herbal tea's I will look into that. Thank You so much. 😄👍🏾
Rhonda, I didn’t see your personal until now I don’t always go on the side and follow any longer, nightshade vegetables are eggs, eggplant, anything with dark skin, red peppers, tomatoes with seeds, cucumbers, with seeds and Julia cucumber you’re supposed to take out the season, peel the skin off. Going on a gluten-free way of life, dairy free way of life, anti-inflammatory food and finding a way to manage. Expresss are the best without insurance exercise walk talk to somebody.. you have to be careful with some tease. Some of them stimulate the immune system, which makes the Vitiligo spread. I have had that experience.! I can only drink black tea, green tea, peppermint tea. Chamomile tea, simulates, the immune system, hibiscus stimulates, the immune system , Robois tea will also stimulate the immune system. Also, good idea to go dairy free.
