Also, if you notice someone staring or glancing do you explain your condition or keep it moving?

Thanks for sharing @A MyVitiligoTeam Member! What tanning creme do you use for your hands? I have had some success with one I have bought at Target but it can be hit or miss in the application and I haven't used it since my vit has spread. I may go bsck to it for my own peace of mind and comfortability in public. But I am torn.

Thanks for your response and sharing. You're right; I haven't had many stares/glances since it is mostly isolated to my hands. But when I do, people have never said anything. And actually, the only time someone has said anything happened when I was helping a child and she said she liked it and that it was beautiful. The most encouraging thing I have ever heard regarding my skin! 😊 I still get nervous meeting people in person for the first time, but I need to remind myself of what that sweet girl told me that day.

Very tough question, I would literally say move on...you do not have to explain in detail your condition and an average person would avoid questions like that that would make a person uncomfortable.πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ˜Š

Hello Emily. If someone is noticing you that's actually great. You stood out amongst many and aroused their curiosity. They might be curious in a good way, take it that way. Vitiligo is still a condition many find difficult to comprehend but trust me I tell you as a person who had the best moments in life with someone having the same condition, vitiligo people are the best to be around. You can try one thing next time when someone stares or glances you can smile back. Maybe they are seeking that and you might be of helpπŸ™‚. Lots of love and positivity.
