Thank you, and I would like to know where to get more information on the condition you mentioned. I'm glad your mom got treated in time.

Yes, my mom has a low white blood cell count. She has had several other autoimmune diagnosis as well. The most recent is Severe Chronic Neutropenia, which is a low white blood cell count. Let me know if you are searching for more info on this, it very hard to diagnose and would have taken her life without treatment.

Yes, I have low white blood counts and high iron ... I don't know how they are related.

Hi Tracy.  There's not a lot of information out there on this condition because it is a rare disorder.  The best resources are the Severe Chronic Neutropenia International Registry and if you are on Facebook there is a Severe Chronic Neutropenia Support Group.  My mom has been treated by a hematologist for about 15 years now.  She takes Neupogen Injections to maintain her WBC and sees the hematologist regularly to monitor WBC and how much Neupogen to take. I hope you get some answers. How low is your WBC & have you been referred to any specialists?
