Vitiligo: What People Don't See (Infographic)

Posted on September 14, 2020

Below the surface, living with vitiligo can mean self-consciousness, dealing with rude questions, and uncomfortable symptoms like itching. There's so much more to vitiligo than meets the eye. Vitiligo can come with dozens of possible symptoms, many of which appear invisible to outsiders. Most people don't see the many symptoms MyVitiligoTeam members experience.

On MyVitiligoTeam, the social network and online support group for people living with vitiligo, thousands of members discuss the chronic nature of the disease and its hidden symptoms. Throughout the year, we will share themes we see come up time and time again on MyVitiligoTeam. We chose the image of an iceberg to represent vitiligo symptoms because the life-impacting implications of a vitiligo diagnosis aren't obvious on the surface. Please share to spread vitiligo awareness!

This list is by no means exhaustive. What symptoms would you add?
