Do You Follow A Specific Diet To Help With Vitiligo?
I don't. In the beginning I read what to eat and what not to eat. At some point I scrapped it and ate whatever I wanted
I tried so many things for my vitiligo over 50 years including supplements, diets changes….. It got worse with my age and much worse after Covid vaccines but maybe that was just a coincidence. The only thing that helped me was light treatment which helped significantly. I finally found a doctor who submitted to my insurance for a home unit. None of my other Drs ever tried.
I hear the Carnivore diet may reset Auto immune disease or can rule out anything you may be eating that makes you sick. I went on Carnivore for a year and didnt notice anything change my Vitaligo but, I did lose 35 pounds and am off ALL blood pressure medicine and within 8 lbs of my Marine Corps weight from the 80's..
People with Vitiligo or any autoimmune disease should follow a 2 week elimination diet, including no dairy & gluten free. Then slowly reintroduce non Inflammatory foods so you can figure out your personal triggers.
I am on diet to loose weight, So less or no sugars, small portions to every meal and no food after 16:00. In one year I lost 18 kilos. I got repigmentation in the halv part of the patches. At the same time I do phototherapy twice a week and takrolimus the days I’am not doing phototherapy.
