What Is The Correct Process For Diagnosis?

We discovered a few white spots on my son's (9 almost 10yrs) cheeks around 3 weeks ago. A dermatologist looked at it yesterday, and said she thinks it's Pityr. Alba. But cannot rule out Vitiligo. As the spots are only 3 weeks old we should see how it develops over the next 2 months. She gave us Elidel cream and advised us to moisturize. She did not use any sort of Wood's Lamp to examine the spots. She said to ultimately know we would need to do a biopsy. She did ask for any family… read more
