Can I Safely Have Laser Hair Removal?

I have had vitiligo on my feet since I was a small child. Over the past 7 years I started getting vitiligo on my hands and now I have a small area in my armpits and one spot under my breast
I want to have laser hair removal but am told it can make vitiligo spread (which I’m not too concerned about) and that it can be dangerous. Has anyone had laser hair removal and had it spread? How badly did it spread? I feel like it might be worth a little spread to never have to shave again

I think it could only because i just read an article on this website about sunburn and vitiligo, but if you use one of the ointments like Tacrolimus after each laser treatment maybe it will prevent it. Maybe even start an anti inflammatory like turmeric too. This is just my opinion. ☺️

Hi Jennifer, welcome to the group. I have had Vitiligosince I was 17. It started with small spots under my arms. They are now much larger.
